For our international client we are looking for a Country Manager. The resource will manage the operation and profitability in line with direction provided by Brand Directors and ensure alignment to all global processes, operational systems and policies. Furthermore, the Country Manager will retain fiduciary responsibilities as legal representatives of the company in that country they are responsible for; will ensure Compliance with all required legislation; will manage all relevant external stakeholders and acting as the face of the organisation to the external audience; will be responsible for the day to day management of in country employees. We are looking for someone with an economics bachelor's or master's degree with at least ten years management experience; ideally have experience in the retail industry; ability to act effectively at the local level yet understand the global platforms and contribute to their strategic development through local Insights; ability to proactively and rigorously analyze business operations and lead financial and statistical analyses with the aim of improving business operations and results; well developed leadership and people management skills; strong communication, influencing, networking and interpersonal skills; strong ambassadorial skills to manage the external environment and enhance the reputation of the company; proven ability to handle customer and partner relationships is crucial to the role; ability to motivate and inspire others; ability to work across Company functions and levels, locally and overseas; focused on continual change and adapting to meet dynamic environment. Excellent knowledge of English is mandatory. Introduction to HOOP Peru Helping Overcome Obstacles Peru (HOOP) is a registered NGO in Peru, UK and Austria, that is breaking the cycle of poverty through education in the shanty town of Flora Tristan, outside of Arequipa. HOOP runs an after school English program for 100 children and 25 adults, provides scholarships for a private secondary school, offers business and finance classes for adults, and runs a health program that includes medical treatment, psychological support, as well as nutrition and sanitation workshops. Job Summary The Director of Communications & Development is responsible for HOOP´s publicity, marketing and fundraising. The jobholder will implement both the fundraising and communications strategy, update it as necessary, and manage a team of fundraising and communication interns. One of the main fundraising responsibilities is to create and develop cooperations and partnerships with other agencies and organizations to the benefit of HOOP, including NGOs, donors, local and international businesses. The jobholder will coordinate all fundraising events locally, and provide guidance for international fundraising events conducted by the founders in the UK and Austria, as well as former volunteers worldwide. The Director of Communications & Development will write grant proposals to local and international businesses, international foundations, as well as bilateral and multilateral organizations. As part of the communications responsibilities the job holder will manage all communications on HOOP´s social media channels, public relations, website management and blogging. As part of the Senior Management Team the job holder will also be involved in creating the annual strategic plan for the HOOP. At work today in more than 40 countries and in 22 U.S. cities, IRC restores safety, dignity and hope to millions who are uprooted by conflict or disaster. IRC leads the way from harm to home. BACKGROUND The Syria crisis is often described as the worst humanitarian catastrophe since the end of the Cold War. Inside Syria, 6.5 people are internally displaced and 9.3 million are in need of humanitarian assistance. Today's 3.2 million refugees are expected to increase to 3.5 million by the end of 2014. IRC is offering a robust humanitarian response to the Syria crisis. With an annual budget in excess of $100 million and a rapidly expanding portfolio, supported by more than 1100 staff in the region, IRC is undertaking programs in Syria and the neighboring countries of Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan in the fields of health, child protection, education, women's protection and empowerment, distribution of and core relief items, cash assistance, water and environmental health, and economic recovery. Our work in these challenging settings gives rise to some of the most pressing issues facing contemporary humanitarian action, including questions of access, security, funding and coordination. Since 2012 IRC has been undertaking cross-border operations from several offices in southeastern Turkey to provide humanitarian assistance and services in northwestern Syria. IRC provides assistance to Syrian IDPs, Syrian host communities and Syrian refugees in Turkey across multiple sectors, both directly and through partner organizations. IRC Turkey's annual budget currently exceeds $30M and continues to grow. With its main office in Antakya and field offices in Gaziantep and Sanliurfa, IRC Turkey employs more than 220 staff. POSITION SUMMARY The Deputy Director for Programs (DDP) provides overall leadership to the development, management, implementation and growth of IRC's programming portfolio in Turkey, with particular emphasis on responsiveness to needs, program quality and evidence of impact. In coordination with the Country Director, the DDP builds and sustains strong donor relationships. Reporting to the Country Director and a member of the Senior Management Team, the DDP directly supervises seven senior staff who are responsible for proposal development, and quality program implementation.
